Hazel Lewry of Moose Jaw passed away on Sunday, June 7, 2009 at the age of 98 years. Hazel was predeceased by her husband Frank, her only son, Robert George on April 19, 2009, her parents, George and Bessie Emery, sisters, Wilma Doucet and Bernice Hall; and brothers, Charles and Malcolm. Hazel is survived by nieces, nephews and cousins. Hazel was a graduate of the 1933 class of nurses from the Moose Jaw General Hospital and was awarded the F.J. Wilson prize for practical nursing. She proved to be a very worthy recipient having a long and distinguished career in nursing. Hazel was a member of the Order of Eastern Star, Wa Wa Shrine Ladies' Auxiliary, and held a lifetime honorary membership in the Moose Jaw Union Hospital Nurses Alumnae. The family wishes to thank Pioneers Lodge for their very compassionate care of Hazel. The Service of Remembrance will be held at W.J. Jones & Son Funeral Chapel, 106 Athabasca St. E., Moose Jaw on Saturday June 13, 2009 at 1:30 p.m. Her cremated remains will be scattered in the Garden of Remembrance at First Memorial, in Victoria B.C. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Moose Jaw Health Foundation 455 Fairford St. E. Moose Jaw, S6H 1H3. In living memory of Hazel, a tree will be planted in Besant Park by W. J.
