The passing of Caroline Mary Spurvey of Fredericton, NB occurred on Monday, October 11, 2010 at the York Manor Nursing Home. Born on February 16, 1926 in Grand Falls, NFLD, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Theresa (Walsh) Griffiths. Caroline loved to travel which mostly took her to visit her children. She also enjoyed listening to country music. Caroline is survived by her sons, James (Grace) Spurvey of Fredericton, NB, Garry (Wanda) Spurvey of North Sydney, NS and Dennis (Donna) Spurvey of Sydney, NS; daughters, Rita (Ron) Henry of Fredericton, NB, Lillian (Kenneth) Warren of Sydney, NS, Deborah (Michael) Pearse of Burlington, ON, Carol Ann (Tim) Grice of Niagara Falls, ON and Angela (Bernie) Taylor of Guelph, ON; 20 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her son, Donald; sister, Geneive Babineau; brothers, Michael and Thomas.
Visitation will take place at Chant's Funeral Home, 564 Alexander Street, Sydney, NS on Thursday, October 14, 2010 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm. A Funeral Service will take place from Chant's Funeral Home on Friday, October 15, 2010 at 11am. Interment will take place in Resurrection Cemetery, Sydney River, NS.
