Nov. 12th, 1932 - Oct. 11th, 2010. Passed peacefully away surrounded by loved ones at the Dr. Walter Templeman Hospital, Bell Island. Daniel Joseph Murphy, age 77. Predeceased by his parents Sara and John Murphy, brother John, sisters Margaret Hawco, Veronica Byrne, Elizabeth Jackman and special nephew Patrick Byrne. Leaving to mourn son: Sheldon (Shelly); daughter Brittane (Ronnie); special friend Mary Taylor; sisters: Bride (Raymond), Josephine; brother Chris (Barb); best friends: Bernie (Verna Parsley. Also a large circle of family and friends. Cremation has taken place. Remains resting at Pendergast's Funeral Home on Friday, Oct. 15th from 12 to 9 p.m. Funeral to take place Saturday, Oct. 16th at 2 p.m. at St. Michael's Church. Inurnment to follow at St. Michael's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
