After a courageous battle with cancer, Howard Murray Mersereau passed away October 19, 2010 with his family by his side. Born April 30, 1945 in Hoyt NB, he was the son of the late James Eldon (Gain) Mersereau and the late Stella B. Mersereau Laurie (Charleton). He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years Linda, and mother in law Mary Hall (Osburn), three sons David of Ontario; Trent (Beverly) of Saint John; and Wade (Lori) of Saint John; siblings Phyllis Whittaker of Sussex; Vincent (Charlotte) of Grand-Bay Westfield; Audrey Fox of Moncton; Leona (Allan) Paisley of Grand-Bay Westfield; Geraldine Walther of California; seven grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Howard was a longtime member of IBEW local 502. He was an avid fisherman and hunter with his good friends Al, Jimmy and Ross. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Rd. Saint John (646-2424). Cremation has taken place, as to Howard's wishes no visitation or funeral will he held. Memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. www.fundyfuneralhome.com
