It is with great sadness the family announce the death of Heather March devoted wife of Ralph A. March of Bains Corner who passed away unexpectedly at home on October 19, 2010. Born 1935 in Moncton to the late Arthur and Bertha (Starrak) Collins. Heather was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, sister and friend. She was an active member of Bains Corner United Church as an Elder, Sunday School Teacher and member of the choir. Heather was active with Eastern Star Saint John Chapter 14, holding several positions including Past Matron. She graduated from Simonds High School in 1952. Later in life both Heather and Ralph built Stoney Brook Lodge where she worked with the family buisness for many years. Besides her husband Ralph of 51 years; Heather is survived by her children Bonnie McCumber (Terry) of Bains Corner, Brenda Kinney (Allan) of St. George, Bruce March (Barb) of Saint John and Barbara Magee (David) of Quispamsis; sister-in-law Jean Collins of Garnett Settlement; six precious grandchildren Emily and Colin McCumber, Ryan and Erika Kinney, Charlotte Magee and Sara Hooton; sisters-in-laws, brothers-in-law; nieces, nephews and many friends. Besides her parents Heather was predeceased by a brother John Collins and a sister in infancy June Collins.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Fundy Funeral Home 230 Westmorland Rd. (646-2424). The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 21, 2010 from 7 to 9 p.m. A memorial service will be held from the Bains Corner United Church, Route 111, Bains Corner, NB on Friday, October 22, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. Private family interment to take place at Brown's Cemetery at a later date.
