Harriet Johnston
We, the family of the late Harriet Johnston, would like to express our appreciation to our relatives, friends and neighbors for their kindness to us during our recent bereavement. Heartfelt thanks is extended to those who offered prayers, phoned and visited us, sent mass cards, memorials, enrollments, charitable on line condolences and brought food to our home and the reception. We offer our thanks to Father Edward Conrad for the beautiful service and eulogy celebrating Harriet's life; to the Immaculate Heart choir and to solist Jean MacIntosh for their beautiful music, especially "Gentle Woman"; to the readers Donalda Walsh and Margaret MacDonnell; to the CWL of Immaculate Heart who provided for the reception. We extend our thanks to the doctors, staff and volunteers of Oncology, Palliative care, Units 4B and 4C for their excellent care of Harriet during her long illness, and for the kindness and compassion shown to us by all. A special thanks to the members of Harriet's prayer group, who visited frequently and gave her great comfort. A special thank you is extended to her good friend, Cecilia O'Handley, who shared our vigil over the long months; and to Arlene MacNeil for her recitation of a poem at the grave side. We acknowledge with thanks, the staff of Chant's Funeral Home for their courtesy, professionalism and guidance. The support and compassion of all were a source of great comfort to us at this difficult time. Thank you and may God touch each of you as you have touched us.
