Alma Joy Rushton (Totten), born November 29, 1932, daughter of the late Bertha and Bob (Ray) Dunhill, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her family, after a brief battle with lung cancer. Joy is survived by her husband Wayne (the love of her life), sons Kevin (Diane) McGivery of Titusville, Bob (Lynda Lee) McGivery of Sussex and Thomas (Sheila) Totten of Saint John; daughters Karen Code (Mike Hutt) of Truro, NS, Kathy Ribo of Saint John and Faith (Joe) Beebe of Kingston, NB. She is also survived by her brother Earl (Alvena) Dunhill of Ontario; 16 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren and Ben her faithful canine friend; many cousins and nieces. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her eldest son Blaine McGivery in April of this year.
Cremation has taken place. Visitations will be 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, October 26, 2010 at the Seventh Day Adventist Church, 1158 Route 820, Barnesville, with funeral service on Wednesday, October 27, 2010 at 2 p.m., followed by burial in the Seventh Day Adventist Cemetery.
