OLMSTEAD, Frances Jean - 90, Lake Ramsay, Lunenburg Co., passed away on Saturday, October 9, 2010, in Shoreham Village, Chester. Born in New Ross, Lunenburg Co., she was a daughter of the late Alvin and Naomi (Hiltz) Veinott. Frances was a member of Christ Anglican Church, New Ross, where she had been a member of the Church Guild. She was also a member of the Golden Age Club. Surviving are sons, Leon, Berwick; E. Wallace (Betty), Debert; daughter, Valerie (Aldon) Lenihan, New Ross; daughter-in-law, Joyce Olmstead, Halifax; son-in-law, Francis Hiltz, New Ross; 12 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; brother, Cedric (Carolyn) Veinott, New Ross; sisters, Marjorie (Frank) Skerry; Winnie (Freeman) Olmstead, all of New Ross; Loretta (Elmer) Neville, Kentville; several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband, Maurice E. Olmstead; sons, Eugene and Terry; daughter, Fern Hiltz; brothers, Lealand, Ernest and Malcolm; sisters, Doris Hughes; Reta Reeves. Visitation for Frances was held from 7-9 p.m., Tuesday, October 12, in the Serenity Lindsay Funeral Home, 38 Forties Rd., New Ross, N.S., B0J 2M0, (902-689-2961). Funeral service took place at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, October 13, in Christ Anglican Church, New Ross. Rev. Frances Boutilier officiated. Burial was in the Christ Anglican Cemetery, New Ross, and a reception followed in the church rectory. Family flowers only, donations in her memory may be made to Christ Anglican Church, New Ross.
