STELLARTON/NEW GLASGOW – Patrick Joseph (P.J.) Weeks, age 31 of Stellarton/ New Glasgow, passed away on Saturday, June 13th, 2009, in the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney, surrounded by his family and friends.
Born in New Glasgow, he was the son of Patricia (Patti) Weeks-Fisher, he is also survived by his step-father, Mike Dunn.
Surviving are his son, Lucas Hemwood; maternal grandfather and step-grandmother, Bill and Deanna Weeks; aunts, Linda, Cathy (Robert) Johnson; uncle Bill (Liz); cousins: Matthew, Nick and Tyler Johnson, as well as many special friends.
He was predeceased by his maternal grandmother, Edna (Zugay) Weeks.
Patrick was employed with Webster Bros. Paving. He was a Montreal Canadien’s fanatic. Patrick loved to fish, play golf and write poetry.
The family will receive visitors from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in the H.C. MacQuarrie Funeral Home, from where funeral service will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. with Rev. Aidan Kingsbury officiating. Burial will be in Christ Anglican Church Cemetery.
No flowers by request. Donations in memory of Patrick may be made to his family.
