It is with great sadness that the family of the late Emmanuel Francis Benoit announce his passing at the Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital, Stephenville on Monday, June 15, 2009, at the age of 89 years. He will be sadly missed by his 14 children: Percy J. (Helen) Benoit of Nova Scotia, Brendon (Blanche) Benoit of Marches Point, Joachim (Bonnie) Benoit of New Brunswick, Winifred (Gerard) Jesso of Sheaves Cove, Claude J. (Yvette) of Prince Edward Island, Cornelius (Joyce) Benoit of Marches Point, Rex J. (Nicole) Benoit of Manitoba, Joanna Mary (Stephen) Benoit of Nova Scotia, Sheila (Lyle) Wallaker of Manitoba, Jefferson Joseph (Pamela) Benoit of Manitoba, Kevin (Doreen) Benoit of Marches Point, Sandra Mary (Richard) Jesso of Nova Scotia, Roderick Benoit (Adrian) of Nova Scotia and Douglas Benoit (Lillian) of Prince Edward Island; one brother, Gabriel Benoit of Red Brook; ten sisters: Matilda LaCosta of Port au Port, Bernice (Ellis) Young of Marches Point, Rita Gosse of Stephenville, Maude Gosse of St. David’s, Eileen Benoit of Marches Point, Agatha Jesso of Red Brook, Mercedes Costard of Red Brook, Mary (Fintan) Jesso of Sheaves Cove, Alice Mary (Stanley) Chaisson of Cape St. George, Cecilia Mary May (Limberg) Jesso of Ship Cove, as well as a large circle of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his wife, Annie Mae Benoit on June 16, 2007 and his grandson, Jeffrey Jesso. Friends may call at Our Lady of the Cape Parish on Wednesday and Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral mass will take place on Friday, June 19th at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of the Cape Parish, Cape St. George, with interment in the Roman Catholic Cemetery in Marches Point. As expressions of sympathy, flowers are graciously accepted. Funeral arrangements are under the supervision of Russell’s Funeral Home, Stephenville.
