Myrna Black
Myrna Black (Lambert) of Saint John passed away peacefully at The Saint John Regional Hospital after a two and a half year courageous battle with cancer on October 30, 2010. Myrna was born in Saint John on April 4, 1956, daughter of the late Everett and Elizabeth "Libby" (O'Brian) Lambert. Myrna loved to work on her garden at home, cooking and enjoying a glass of red wine. Myrna spent the better part of 30 years in the hairdressing industry. She was an avid runner and participated in several marathons. Aside from her husband Barrie Black, Myrna will be sadly missed by her sons; Craig Black, Lee Black, brothers; Larry Lambert, Jack (Wendy) Lambert, Donald White, nieces; Heidi Lambert, Julia Lambert, Dominique Duplessis, nephews; Nicholas Lambert, Adam Lambert, Preston Duplessis and Tre Duplessis, as well as her great niece and nephew Olivia Lambert and Crüz Lambert. She was predeceased by her parents and her mother-in-law Mary (Cunningham) Black.
Arrangements entrusted to Castle "Fallsview" Funeral Home 309 Lancaster Ave. Saint John West (634-1701). In keeping with Myrna's wishes there will be no visitation with a Memorial Service on Thursday at 1:00 pm. at Castle Funeral Home. Interment will take place at a later date.
