It is with great sadness that the family of the late Ronald Joseph Lainey announce his passing at the Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital, Stephenville on Sunday, October 31, 2010 at the age of 85 years. He will be sadly missed by his wife, Margaret and six sons: Gervais of Stephenville, Alban (Brenda) of Mainland, Jimmy of Ontario, Vincent (Evangeline) of Mainland, Berthram (Sandy) of Cape St. George, Terry (Tanya) of Marches Point, eight daughters: Hilda (Pete) of Mainland, Magadlen (Warren) of Prince Rupert, British Columbia, Viola (Edward) of Brampton, Ontario, Lori (Millage), Mary (Danny), Brenda (Leroy), all of Cape St. George, Bertha (Terry) of Stephenville, Madonna (Corey) of Waterloo, Ontario, 24 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and a large circle of relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents, Sonny and Mary Lainey and his brothers and sisters. Cremation has taken place and Funeral Service took place on Thursday, November 4th at 10:30 a.m. at St. Anne's Chapel in Mainland with Interment in the Roman Catholic Cemetery in Mainland. Funeral arrangements were under the supervision of Russell's Funeral Home and Crematorium, Stephenville.
