Josephine Lomax

On November 2nd, after a brief illness and a valiant fight Josie went to be with her LORD and the love of her life, husband Theodore (Ted). As well as her husband, Josie was predeceased by her son Holly, daughter-in-law Barb, grandson Eli, her parents Everett and Nina (Green) Ingalls and her sister Pearl. Josie lived her entire life in West Saint John, but never forgot her deep roots on Grand Manan. She also enjoyed many summers with her family in Little Lepreau. In later years Ted and Josie wintered in Florida. She graduated from Saint John High School and Vocational School Business Program before going to work at NB Tel. She married her teenage sweetheart and once their first child was born she contentedly assumed the role of homemaker and Mom. She was well known for her open home, fresh, homemade bread and bottomless tea pot! She faithfully served her LORD through her church, Hillcrest Baptist, where she taught Sunday School for many years, was a life member of the Women's Missionary Society and was active in many women's and senior's groups. Josie will be deeply missed by her children - Harvey and Jacquie and their children Leanne & Lyle, Patricia & Curtis, Anthony and Kaley, Hal and Myra and their daughter Michelle, Hilton and Lynn and their children Amanda & Elijah, Jill & Cliff, Jayne & Scott, Abby & Marc, Heather and Steven Bass and their daughters Rachel and Bekah and her 9 great grandchildren in whom she took great joy. She will also be missed by her sister, Mildred and countless family member and friends. Her family would like to thank the team in MICU for the excellent care Josie received there.
