PICTOU – Mildred Florence “Mim” Davidson, 91, Pictou, NS, formerly of Truro, passed away November 1st, 2010, at Shiretown Nursing Home.
Born in Pictou on April 7th, 1919, she was the daughter of the late John W. and Mary Jane (Sencabaugh) Hansford of Pictou County.
Mildred is survived by her daughter, Mildred “Lena” (Lester Robinson) Reid, Masstown; daughter-in-law, Maisie, Pictou; sons: Kenneth (Norma), Ontario; Ian, British Columbia; David (Alison), Halifax.
Mildred is deceased by her husband, Andrew William “Bill” and her son, James “Jimmy”.
Mildred is survived by her sisters: Elizabeth Grant, New Glasgow; Doris (Austin) Sutherland, Caribou River; Helen Baird, Caribou Island; predeceased by her sisters: Dorothy Dwyer, Harriet “Hattie” Schlums, Edith Boehner; and her brothers: Lewis “Dan”, Jack, Harry, Wilbur “Ted”, Ernest, Edward.
Mildred will be missed by her many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Mildred was blessed to have the comfort and support of her niece, Dorothy Woolley in her later years.
Her remains are resting at the H.W. Angus Funeral Home, 256 King Street, New Glasgow, with visitation from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, at the H.W Angus Funeral Home, New Glasgow.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Mildred may be made to the the Arthritis Society, Nova Scotia division or the Canadian Diabetic Association or another charity of your choice.
