Ruby Eloise Poole (nee LeFeuvre) age 76 passed away peacefully at her home in Winterland on October 29, 2010 following a short illness. Ruby will be lovingly remembered by her husband Newman of 52 years; sons Peter Poole (Joanne Pike) of Halifax and Thomas (Julie) Poole of Australia; daughter Pamela (David) Hancock of Halifax; sisters Dorothy (Fred) Banfield of Burin, Freda Thornhill of Bay L'Argent, Ruth (Roland) Barter of Winterland and brother George (Irene) LeFeuvre of Fredericton; 3 grandchildren Meagan and Emily Hancock and Natasha Dominaux as well as a large circle of family and friends. Pre-deceased by parents Charles and Lillias LeFeuvre, and brother-in-law Ray Thornhill. Ruby meant so much to so many in so many different ways. Her joy of life was evident in the way she lived and interacted with those around her. She was proud of her Newfoundland heritage and a strong supporter of local art and culture. She was a member of the Burin Peninsula Art Council and participated in the annual fair. Her love for nature was expressed in her pictures and dried flower arrangements. People will remember her fondly for sharing her beautiful garden and abundant rhubarb patch.
