It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Annie Irene Jessome, age 88, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister, of Oshawa, Ont. and formerly of Coxheath, on Sunday, Nov. 7, 2010.
Born in St. Peter’s, she was a daughter of the late John Lawrence and Mary Jane (Gracie) Stone.
Annie is survived by her only son, Bernie Jessome and his wife, Nancy and lovingly remembered by her grandchildren, Lori, Brian, Mark, Angela, Moya and her great-grandchildren, Kris, Ryan, Matthew, Ashley, Moya and Jack. She is also survived by her brother, Richard Stone and his wife, Teresa, St. Peter’s and her two sisters, Laura Morrison and Mildred Sampson and her husband, Ben, St. Peter’s. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Patrick Jessome and her sisters, Mary MacLean and Kay Fedora and brothers, Thomas, John, John, Charlie, Danny, Clarence and Ernie Stone.
A funeral mass for Annie will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, at St. Joseph Church, Bras d’Or with Rev. Peter McLeod officiating with burial in St. Joseph Parish Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of W.J. Dooley Funeral Home, 107 Pleasant St., North Sydney.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a Canadian Cancer Society.
