Passed peacefully away on November 10, 2010 in the comfort of his home, in the presence of his loving family, of Manuels, age 81 years. Predeceased by his parents Mary and Harold Porter, brothers Amos (Felicia), Keith (Ann) and Cecil (known as Buddy). Leaving to mourn his loving wife of 58 years, Amy; sons: Bill (Tina) and Roy (Mae); daughters: Joan (Paul) and Brenda (Dave); grandchildren: Krista Lynn (Sean), Cortney, Nicholas, Jimmy, Ashley and William. Also nieces, nephews, friends and special family in the United States. Visitation in the James J. Hickey Memorial Funeral Home, Kelligrews on Thursday and Friday 10-9 p.m. Funeral service in St. John the Evangelist Church, Topsail on Saturday, November 13, 2010 at 11 a.m. Interment in the Anglican Cemetery, Topsail.
