Passed away peacefully with family by his side in Edmonton, Alberta on Nov. 6, 2010. Lloyd was born on Flat Island, Bonavista Bay, Newfoundland in 1921. After he returned from serving in the British Royal Navy he met Margery Williams from the Goulds, who was teaching on Flat Island at the time. They married in 1949 and in 1956, at the height of resettlement, the family moved to Mount Pearl and later Edmonton where Lloyd worked in construction. Lloyd will be remembered fondly by his wife Margery, his children Judith (Chris), Lewis (Donna), Paul (Pam), Philip (Cathy) and Kim; his grandchildren, Christa, Stephanie, Christian, Matthew and Marcus and many other friends and family. Lloyd took great interest and pleasure in the successes of his children and they will miss his sense of humour and wise council. Lloyd will also be remembered by his sister Emily Jones of Gander and Ruby Clarke of Mount Pearl. He was predeceased by his brother Alwyn in 1995. Lloyd was always a Newfoundlander at heart.
