Dale Clinton Loverin of Hazenmore, SK passed away on Thursday, October 28, 2010, at the age of 82 years. Dale, the youngest of fourteen children, was born August 1, 1928, to John and Pearl Loverin in Vanguard. Dale spent most of his life living on the family farm. He attended Cardiff school, walking over a mile each day. He was school janitor for sometime, lighting the stove in the morning, cleaning up and performing any other chores required. When Dale and friends would relive their school days it was with great enjoyment, recalling mischievous acts with teachers, fellow students and staff the recipients. After his schooling, Dale remained at home helping on the farm. Dale’s mother passed away in 1940 and Dale, his brother Lorne and their father were left with running the house and meal preparations, along with the help of hired girls. Dale married Georgina Silbernagel on March 15, 1952, at St. Albert Roman Catholic Church in Mankota. That year Dale started training as an elevator agent for the Saskatchewan Wheat Pool in Lafleche. His first assignment was in the little town of Trewdale, where they resided for five years. Dale and Georgina returned to his father’s farm in the spring of 1957, and bought the land in 1959. They also raised pigs, chickens and cattle. For a number of years they rented a house in Hazenmore and moved there for the winter months, then back to the farm in the spring. Dale and Georgina bought their own home in Hazenmore in 1967 and farmed from there. Dale also did custom work for other farmers for a few years before becoming involved in building renovations. He helped remodel many homes and build many different things. He spent most of his winter months in his shop and took great pride in his work. He loved making wooden toys and furniture for his grandchildren. Dale and Georgina had many great holidays with their good friends. Dale had a good sense of humor and he loved to tease, followed by a quick wink. Dale is survived by his loving wife of 58 years Georgina; son Ron (Kathy) children Ashley (Beau Switzer) and their son Tate; Mindy and Tanner; son Grant (Laura) children Mitch, Brody and Jacey; son Gary (Cheryl) children Brandi (Trent) Loverin-Hoover and their daughter Haven; Chad (Leah) and their son Brady; Shaun; brother Gordon; and numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents John and Pearl (nee Johnston) Loverin; brothers Nelson, Harold, Lloyd, John, Fred, Earl, Lorne and Harvey; sisters Helen Kennett, Dorothy Miller, Ruth Sayers and Kathleen Loverin; father-in-law Gabe, mother-in-law Veronica (Sperlie) Silbernagel. Funeral Service was held on Monday, November 1, 2010, at 2:00 p.m. in the Hazenmore Community Hall with Richard Bowley officiant. Eulogy was shared by Dale’s grandchildren. Soloist was granddaughter Jacey Loverin, singing Angel and I Will Remember You. Urn bearer was Ron Loverin. Honorary pallbearers were “All those in attendance.” Pallbearers were grandchildren Brandi, Chad, Shaun, Ashley, Mindy, Tanner, Mitch, Brody and Jacey. Interment Hazenmore Cemetery. Memorial tributes in memory of Dale to the Hazenmore Club 29 were greatly appreciated. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Piche-Hawkins-Grondin Funeral Chapels, Assiniboia & Gravelbourg.
