RIVERTON – Arthur Sheppard of the Riverview Adult Residential Center, Riverton, Pictou County, passed away November 12, 2010 in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow.
Born in Birchtown, Guysborough County, he was a son of the late James Borden and Ms. Francis Sheppard.
Arthur worked in the Forestry Industry as a young man and had a love of animals, especially horses.
He is survived by his uncle, Warren Sheppard Sr. and many cousins including M. Raymond Sheppard, Dartmouth.
He was predeceased by his mother and father, his grandparents, Johnny and Elizabeth (Jackson) Sheppard, uncles, George Sheppard, Freeman Izzard, and aunts Nay Sheppard-Murray and Elizabeth Jackson.
His remains will rest in the H.W. Angus Funeral Home, New Glasgow, for visiting from 12 p.m.-1:45 p.m. Thursday, from where funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. with Pastor Brian Johnston presiding. Burial to follow in the Brookside Cemetery, New Glasgow.
