It is with great sadness that the family of the late Sophia Gaudet announce her passing at the Bay St. George Long Term Care Centre, Stephenville Crossing on Monday, November 15, 2010 at the age of 97 years. She will be sadly missed by her eight children: Edna (Henry) Gaudet of Kippens, Delores (Gerald) Gabriel of Stephenville, Earl Gaudet of Stephenville, Ann (Dan) Humphries of Ontario, Hilda Collier of Ontario, Alvina (Lee) Toppings of San Antonio, Texas, Theresa Uhls of San Antonio, Texas, Sam Gaudet of Ontario, 28 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren, 12 great-great-grandchildren and a large circle of relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband, Mathew Gaudet, daughter, Norma Gaudet, son, Wade Gaudet. Friends may call at Russell’s Funeral Home, 57 Prince Rupert Drive, Stephenville on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will take place on Friday, November 19th at 10:00 a.m. at St. Stephen’s Parish, West Street, Stephenville with interment in the Hillside Interfaith Cemetery, Hansen Highway, Stephenville. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated.
