It is with great sadness that the family of the late Elizabeth Caines (nee Walters) announces her passing on Monday November 15th, at the age of 76 years. Born at Isle aux Morts, Elizabeth was the daughter of the late Garfield and Sarah Jane Walters. She was also predeceased by her husband Emmanuel Caines, granddaughter Katie, great granddaughter Madison. Brother William Henry. Sisters: Rosie Aucoin, Annie Walters, brother in law Jim Mauger. Nephew Lewis Aucoin, great nephew Richard Osmond. She leaves to mourn with fond and precious memories her loving family: Florence Caines Corner Brook, Jane (Max) Strickland Burgeo, Seaward Caines (Nancy) Dartmouth NS, Diane Caines Port aux Basques, Priscilla Caines (Billy) Mount Pearl NL, Terry Caines (JO) Halifax NS, Emmanuel Caines Jr. (Gladys) Red Deer Alta, Sarah (Mike) Farrell Beaverbank NS, Cavell Gairn (Monty) Mississauga ON, Darrell Caines (Carole) Cole Harbour NS, Debbie Taylor (John) Sydney Mines NS, Tina (Eric) Bond Isle aux Morts. 25 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren. Sisters: Carrie (Lawrence) Snook, Marina (Alonzo) Hurley all of Isle aux Morts, Ella (Conrad) Davis St. Alban's NL, Mary (Ralph) Anderson Cape Ray. Brothers: Garfield (May) Walters, George (Vivian) Walters all of Isle aux Morts, Joshua (Ada) Walters Halifax NS, Minter (Loretta) Walters Burnt Islands, Cornelius Walters St. Catherine's ON. Sisters in law: Elizabeth Harvey, Mary (John) Snook, Emma Walters all of Isle aux morts, Jane Anderson Sackville NS, June (Calvin) Durnford Rose Blanche. Brother in law, William Bryan (Diane) Port aux Basques, and a large circle of nieces, nephews, and many friends. Visitation took place on Monday evening, Tuesday and Wednesday at Holy Spirit Anglican Church in Isle aux Morts. Funeral services took place on Thursday November 18th, 2 PM at Holy Spirit Anglican Church, officiated by Rev. Duncan Granter. Interment followed at Hillside Haven Cemetery, Isle aux Morts Road.
