Passed away peacefully at Charles S. Curtis Memorial in St. Anthony on Nov. 13, 2010. Ms. Theresa Matchim of Main Brook, NL, in her 73rd year. She leaves to mourn daughter Sharon Compton; granddaughters Robyn Compton and Jenny Compton; great-granddaughter Karney Compton; sister Cecilia Stevens (James); brothers Paul Matchim (Florence), Edward Matchim (Denise), and Donald Matchim (Ilean), and a large circle of friends. She was predeceased by her mother Florence Matchim, father Joseph Matchim, and son-in-law Robert Compton. Visitation was held at St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church in Main Brook, followed by the funeral service which took place at the St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 16, with Fr. Devas Vargees officiating. Interment followed at the St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Main Brook. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Kerry M. Fillatre Funeral Home, St. Anthony and Roddickton, Lee Nippard, funeral director.
