On June 15, 2009, Sister Mary O’Neill died peacefully at the Notre-Dame-de-Bon-Secours-CND-Infirmary in Montreal at the age of ninety-six and after seventy-six years of religious life in the Congregation de Notre Dame. She was the eldest daughter of Timothy Ambrose O’Neill and Agnes McDermott of Ottawa and is survived by her brother Larry, of P.E.I. and predeceased by her brothers, Joseph, Michael and Terence and her sister Lucy. A memorial mass will be offered at St. Martin’s of Tours Church in Cumberland, Tuesday, June 23, 2009 at 11 a.m. The funeral mass was celebrated at Notre Dame de Grace Church in Montreal. Interment took place in the Cote des Neiges Cemetery.
