At the Kings County Memorial Hospital in Montague on Sunday, June 21, 2009, of Catherine Smith (nee MacPherson) of Dr. John M. Gillis Memorial Lodge and formerly New Perth, age 91 years. Wife of the late William “Kitchener” Smith. Dear mother of Norman (Joye), New Perth; Paul (Lorna), New Perth; Ivan (Nancy), Ontario; and daughter-in-law Miriam Smith. Loving grandmother of 12 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Predeceased by infant daughter, Janice, son Terry and by her sister Flora MacPherson and brother Norman. Resting at Ferguson’s Montague Funeral Home until Wednesday, then to Hillcrest United Church for funeral service at 10 a.m. Interment in the Community Park Cemetery, Montague.
