The death occurred on Nov. 18, 2010, at the Palliative Care Unit of the Prince Edward Home in Charlottetown, of Jean Frances Gallant (nee Ranahan) aged 84 years. Survived by her sisters, Lucy Gallant of Moncton, Marie Chaisson (Foncy) of Winnipeg, and Phyllis “Bonnie” MacKinnon of Charlottetown and by her brother, Bert Ranahan (Marion). Also survived by numerous neices and nephews. Predeceased by her husband Charles “Elton” Gallant, by her brothers in law, Pius Gallant and Leonard MacKinnon and by her sister Annie (predeceased at birth). Resting at the St. Theresa, The Little Flower Roman Catholic Church, Morell, for visitation on Sunday, Nov. 21, 2010, from 2 p.m. until 7 p.m. Funeral Mass to be held on Monday, Nov. 22, 2010, at St. Theresa, The Little Flower at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jean’s memory to the Palliative Care Unit of the Prince Edward Home or to St. Theresa, The Little Flower cemetery fund. Interment in the parish cemetery. Funeral arrangements entrusted to North Shore Funeral Home, Morell.
