WARREN, Vernie (Cooper)– Passed peacefully away at James Paton Memorial Hospital, Gander on Sunday, November 14, 2010, at age 82. Predeceased by her parents Willis and Amelia Cooper of Ireland’s Eye, sister Rebecca Fifield (Len), brothers: Max (Dolly), Alan (Mildred), Dan (Shirley), Chester (Maude) and Victor; and daughter-in-law, Olive. Leaving to mourn with a lifetime of wonderful memories, her husband of 60 years, James; daughter, Millie (Mike); sons: Otis and Lorne (Adair) and granddaughters: Sharley Warren (Todd Pitre) and Suzanne; grandson Steven Doyle (Beth) and great-grandsons: Caleb and Noah; sisters: Mildred Brown (Claude) and Miriam Gover (Clarence) and sister-in-law, Phyllis Cooper, and many nieces, nephews and special friends. Visitation was held at Stacey’s Funeral Home. Funeral services were held at St. Martin’s Cathedral, Gander on Wednesday, November 17 at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Newfoundland and Labrador Retired Teachers' Foundation for Children’s Charities.
