The death of Stephen Jene Drane, of Bonita Ave, occurred on Saturday, November 20, 2010 at his residence with his family at his side. Born March 3, 1952 in Saint John, he was the son of Callie P. (Bunn) Drane and the late Michael Drane. He is survived by his son Stephen Drane Jr. (Crista Olsen) of Saint John, brothers Wally Bunn of Fraser Valley, BC, Michael Drane (Sue Totten) of Barnesville, NB, Joseph Drane “Joe” of Barnesville, NB, Christopher Drane “Chris” (Juanita) of Sussex, NB, sisters Iris Justason (Stephen), Laurel Teehan (Walter), Lynn Sullivan (Kevin), Callie Canrinus (Brent Graham), Ruth Whipple (Bill Erb) all of Sussex, NB, and Autumn Whitaker (Donald) of Grand Bay/Westfield, NB, grandchildren Alicia, Callie, Katelyn, and Jack. Besides his father Michael, he was predeceased by his brothers Shawn, Andy, and his common- law spouse Cindy Miller. Stephen was a Mason by trade, a member of the Bricklayers and Allied Craft Workers since 1969. He loved long drives on old country roads, fixing cars, boating on the Saint John and Kennebecasis Rivers, and his little dog Candy.
Resting at Fundy Funeral home, 230 Westmorland Road, (646-2424), with visiting on Monday, November 22, and Tuesday, November 23, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral Service will be held from Fundy Funeral Home Chapel, on Wednesday, November 24, 2010 at 10:00 am. Following cremation, interment will take place in St. Joseph’s Cemetery at a later date.
