The passing of Irvine Amber Brooks, loving and devoted husband of Rachel Brooks, occurred on Friday, November 19, 2010 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on March 11, 1940 in South Hampton, NB, he was the son of the late Ernest and Pearl (Sewell) Brooks. Irvine worked for the City of Fredericton Water Department for 28 years. He was a member of the McAdam Avenue Gospel Hall. In addition to his wife, Irvine is survived by his children, Deborah (Larry) Follett of Saint John, NB, Ron (Darlene) Morgan of Cambridge, ON, Ian (Terri) Morgan of Rochester, MI and Stephen Morgan of Calgary, AB; one brother, Ronnie Brooks of Canterbury, NB; three sisters, Barbara Little, Brenda (Jim) Toth both of Fredericton, NB, Joyce of Montreal, QC; nine grandchildren, Andrew, Michael, Sean, Brent, Chad, Riley Morgan, Steven, Timothy Follett, Sharon Lopez; three great grandchildren, Carman Lopez, Aaron Lopez, Bronwyn Morgan as well as several nieces and nephews. Irvine will be sadly missed by Carter and Norma Bostick, close friends and neighbors. In addition to his parents, Irvine was predeceased by his son, Albert Morgan and sister, Marie Carlisle.
Visitation will be held at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton, NB on Monday, November 22, 2010 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. A Funeral Service will take place at York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Tuesday, November 23, 2010 at 11am with Robert Griffin officiating. Interment will take place in the Douglas Rural Cemetery.
