At the Charlotte County Hospital, St. Stephen NB on November 20, 2010, Mrs. Florence Wilson (Leeman) Maloon, wife of the late Isaac L. Maloon, formerly of Lord’s Cove NB. Born at Deer Island NB on December 17, 1918, she was a daughter of the late Ashley and Wealthy (Wilson) Leeman. A loving mother, grandmother, aunt and friend, she is survived by one daughter, Mary (Tom) Tay of Singapore, one granddaughter, Carrie (William) Goh also of Singapore, several nieces, nephews, cousins and countless friends. In addition to her husband, Isaac, she was predeceased by one daughter, Alice Maloon, one sister, Zona Leeman and by one brother, Randall Leeman. Prior to her retirement, Flo was a self employed caregiver. She loved cats, reading and doing crossword puzzles. She was an avid gardener who also enjoyed cooking for her family and friends. Flo was a member of the Lord’s Cove Church of Christ, Lord’s Cove NB. The family would like to send a special thank you to Barb McDowell and the staff of Ridgeview Manor who took such good care of Flo.
As keeping with Flo’s wishes, there will be no visitation. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, November 23, 2010 at 2 pm from Mount Hope Cemetery, Deer Island NB, with Rev. Jim Davis officiating. In Flo’s memory, donations to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
