It is with great sadness that the family of the late Catherine Mary Gosse of St. David’s announce her passing at The Bay St. George Long Term Care Center in Stephenville Crossing, NL on Saturday, November 20th at the age of 87 years. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her five sons: Ed (Sheila), Ulrich (Marjorie), Derek (Patsy), Dawson (Vivian), Wally (Gwen); two daughters: Edith (Rodney), Diana (Wayne Smyth); step-son Alfred (Margaret) Gosse; step-daughter Viola Pierce; 16 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; 9 step-grandchildren; 12 step-great-grandchildren as well as a large circle of family and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Walter; parents Edward and Laura Edmonds; brothers: Bruce, Steve, & Ellis. The family will be receiving friends on Tuesday from 2 – 4 and 7 - 9 p.m., from St. Michael and All Angels Anglican Church in St. David’s from where the funeral service will take place on Wednesday, November 24, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Terry Rose officiating. Interment will follow in the Anglican Cemetery, St. David’s. As expressions of sympathy flowers are graciously accepted.
