Passed peacefully away on Sunday, November 21, 2010 at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital, Ralph MacGillivray at the age of 90 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his loving wife of 63 years Jean (nee Benson); daughters: Denise (Geoff) Tulk, Corinne (John) King and Nicole (Keith) Musseau; grandchildren: David, Michael, Stephanie and Kayla; older brother Ray MacGillivray; sister-in-law Peg (Dave) Butler; brothers-in-law: Dolph (Stella) Benson and Jack Hutchings; as well as a large circle of family and friends. He was predeceased by his parents Thomas and Bertha MacGillivray, brothers William (Olive) MacGillivray and Herb (Kit) MacGillivray, sisters-in-law Sally MacGillivray, Pearl Hutchings, Irene Benson and Marina Benson, brother-in-law Walwyn Benson and nephew Ralph Benson. Cremation has taken place at Humber Valley Crematorium. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 4 St. Mark’s Avenue on Tuesday 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 24 at 2:00 p.m. from First United Church, Park Street, Rev. Myles Vardy officiating. Interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy flowers graciously accepted or donations may be made to the Dr. H. Bliss Murphy Cancer Care Foundation, First United Church Restoration Fund or to the Western Memorial Regional Hospital Foundation.
