HUBLEY, Morton Charles – 88, of Veteran’s Place, Yarmouth, passed away in Veteran’s Place on Saturday, November 13, 2010. Born on January 6, 1922 in West LaHave, Lunenburg Co., he was a son of the late Jason and Mabel (Wamboldt) Hubley. Morton served in the Second World War as a member of the 2nd Core Transport Unit. He is also a former member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #63, Shelburne. He is survived by son, Harold (Barbara) Hubley, Raynardton, Yarmouth Co.; daughters, Janet Ossinger (Joel Kilpatrick), Saint John, N.B.; Colleen (Larry) Hayes, Deerfield, Yarmouth Co.; sister, Francis Pyke, Bridgewater; grandchildren, Jason Hubley, Raynardton, Yarmouth Co.; Kamilla Ossinger, Saint John, N.B.; Brandon Hayes, Yarmouth. He was predeceased by wife, Bernice (Roy) Hubley; brothers, Orace, Dawson and Lawrence; sister, Althea. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Sweeny’s Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Yarmouth. A quiet ceremony took place in Trinity Anglican Cemetery, Bog Rd., Liverpool, on Friday, November 19, 2010, Chaplain Donald Lawton officiated. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory may be made to Veteran’s Place, 60 Vancouver Street, Yarmouth, B5A 2P5.
