Peacefully at Saint John Regional Hospital on November 19, 2010 at the age of 89. Dear father of Elizabeth Kim (Kim Mustill) and Patricia Lee (Lee Keep). Loving grandfather of Angela Parker and great-grandfather to Curtis Parker. The family wishes to extend their warmest thanks to Stella Doiron, lead caregiver and best friend to Ed. Sincere appreciation is also extended to caregivers Linda Casey, Donna Saunders, Tara Warden and Lottie Jones. Known as “The Major” to his friends, Ed Fairweather bravely served his country in both WWII and Korea. A lifelong New Brunswicker of Loyalist stock, Ed now joins his beloved wife Patricia (Patricia Caverhill Jones) and sisters Jane (Jane Brooks), Nancy (Nancy Wiggins) and Anne (Anne Farris). May they rest together in eternal peace and happiness.
A memorial service will be held at Barrack Green Armouries (second floor – wheelchair accessible) in the Officers’ Mess at 2:00, Saturday, November 27th. Barrack Green Armouries is located at 60 Broadview Avenue, Saint John. A reception and Final Salute will follow the service. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation and/or Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated.
