It is with great sadness that the family of the late John Matthew Park announce his passing at Western Memorial Regional Hospital on Sunday, November 21, 2010 at the age of 90 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife of 69 years Frances, his children: Rex (Ida), Orangeville ON, Bernard (Marilyn), Cox’s Cove, Ed (Hilda), Cox’s Cove, Rowena (Bruce), Brampton, ON, Melvin (Daphne), Summerside, Lorraine (Allen), Brampton, ON, Lloyd (Cavelle), Brampton, ON, Kerry (Gail), Summerside, Darrell (Wendy-Lynn), Summerside, Quentin (Wendy), Summerside, 28 grandchildren, 42 great-grandchildren, brother, Ronald (Pearl) of St. John’s, sisters-in-law: Melinda, Beatrice (Gerald), Gillams, Anita (Kevin), Yvonne (William), Brantford, ON, brothers-in-law: Willilam (Hannah), McIvers, Reuben, McIvers, Herbert (Mildred), Margaree, NL, John, McIvers as well as many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He is predeceased by his parents James and Jane, his son Clarence, brothers: Roland and Ralph, sisters: Laura, Lucy and Margaret, mother and father-in-law Isreal and Laura May, brother-in-law John, sisters-in-law: Annie and Margaret. Visitation will take place at St. Nicholas Anglican Church, Cox’s Cove on Monday, November 22, 2010 from 7-9 p.m. and Tuesday, November 23, 2010 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will take place at St. Nicholas Anglican Church, Cox’s Cove on Wednesday, November 24, 2010 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Joan Coles officiating. Interment to follow at the church cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Country Haven Funeral Home, 167 Country Road, Corner Brook. As expressions of sympathy, no flowers by request, memorial donations may be made to the St. Nicholas Church Fund. The family guest book may be signed or memorial donations may be made by visiting our website at www.country-haven.ca.
