
Marion Outhouse
(1926 - 2010) - Mrs Marion L. Outhouse of White Head Island, NB passed away peacefully at the Grand Manan Nursing Home on Monday November 22, 2010. She was born May 15, 1926 at White Head Island the daughter of the late John and Ethel (Morse) Carroll. Marion spent her life on White Head working in smoked herring stands, spending time enjoying the company of her friends, her cats and watching baseball games. She spent countless hours on trips to Cheney’s Island with her close friends Flora and Doug Zwicker and most of all her husband Edison and best friend who she was inseparable from. She has left to be with her Savior where she will wait to reunite with the faithful. She was a member of the White Head Baptist Church and a friend to all on White Head. She is survived by her husband of fifty four years Edison, her nephews Anthony (Carol Ann) of Grand Harbour, and Scott Outhouse of North Head. Her niece and sister-in-law Maudie Trecartin (Outhouse) of North Head. Also her niece Elaine Cossaboom of Montreal, QC, and her great nieces Miriam MacCraken of Sarnia, ON, Kimberly Allan of Montreal QC . Her great nephews Blaine Cossaboom and Blanchard Cossaboom both of Edmonton AB. Also her many friends on White Head. She is predeceased by one sister Arlene, one brother Blanchard Carroll, nephew Eugene Cossaboom, and her brother-in-law Glendon Outhouse. Also her close friend Ina Zwicker that passed away in August of this year.
Visiting will take place at the White Head Baptist Church on Tuesday from 7 to 9 pm. The funeral service will take place from the church on Wednesday, November 24, 2010 at 1:30 pm with Rev. Jim Appleby officiating. The interment will take place at the White Head Community Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the White Head Baptist Church, or the White Head Community Cemetery.
