May 28, 1927 - November 21, 2010. Passed peacefully away at St. Clare's Mercy Hospital on Sunday, November 21, 2010, Garrett Ryan, age 83 years, of Jerseyside, Placentia (formerly of Red Island, P. Bay). Predeceased by his loving wife Bess (2004), parents Joseph & Ursula Ryan, sisters Annie & Theresa, brothers Maurice & Joe. He leaves to mourn his sisters: Loretta Edwards & Marie Higgins (John); stepson Albert Carroll; a large number of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Garrett's Family would be honored to have you join us in a celebration of the life of this good & kind man. Resting at Coombs Funeral Home, Placentia on Tuesday & Wednesday from 2 - 4 & 7 - 9 p.m. Funeral Mass to take place on Thursday, November 25, 2010, at Sacred Heart Church, Placentia at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow in Coombs Memorial Cemetery, Southeast, Placentia.
