Samuel Guraluick of Kayville, born February 11,1932, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on June 19,2009, at the Bengough Health Centre. Predeceased by parents Nicholas and Dominica, brothers Bill, Dan, Johnny, Connie and sister Lena. Sister-in-law Doreen Guraluick, Brother-in-law Walter Heinricks and Dan Stratulat. Sam will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 53 years, Hedy; son, Colin (Charlene), grandsons Cody & Tyson; daughter, Monica (David Burkholder), granddaughter Kristal (Shaun Schmidt), great-grandson Dawsyn Schmidt and great-granddaughter Karter Schmidt, grandsons Patrick & Ryan; son Dean (Susan), grandsons Braden, Brodie, Brett and granddaughter Breann. Sisters Mary Heinricks, Anne (Butch Delnea), Sisters-in-law; Jean Guraluick, Phyllis Guraluick, Doris Guraluick. Sam's passion was railroading. A career starting in 1947-1997 with the CPR, taking him across Canada. He had a love of farming which he did all his life until 2000 when his health no longer allowed him to. Sam dealt with many medical issues over the last 9 years. Due to his gentle and kind personality he never complained and took it all in stride. Sam's love was having all is family around him as often as possible. He will always be remembered for his big hands and big heart but most of all for his teasing and joking nature. A prayer service will be held at Parkview Funeral Chapel, 474 Hochelaga St. W. Moose Jaw, on Tuesday, at 7:45 p.m. Memorial Mass will be held on Wednesday, June 24, 2009 at St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, 1064-3rd Ave. NW with Fr. Francis Folleh officiating. Memorial Donations to the Bengough Health Centre, Bengough, SK S0C 0K0 are appreciated.
