Passed peacefully away on November 23rd, 2010 at St. Clare's Mercy Hospital surrounded by his loving family, age 86 years. Leaving to mourn with fond memories his wife Elizabeth (Betty), son Robert and daughter-in-law Marilyn, daughter Louise and son-in-law Bob Tipple and son Blair and daughter-in-law Anita (and her son David Gosse); cherished grandchildren: Laura (Blair Bridger), Scott (Lisa Moore), Matthew (Théa), Andrew (Lana Combdon), Jane (Russell Noseworthy), Jennifer, and Stephen (Charminne); precious great-granddaughter Kaleigh; brother-in-law Cecil (Mae) Saunders; sister-in-law Gertie Case; special niece Dorothy (Bill) Harrington, also other relatives and friends. Resting at Barrett's Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Ave. on Thursday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. and on Friday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service to take place at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 27th, 2010 from Gower Street United Church. Cremation will follow with interment to take place on Monday, November 29th, 2010 at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.
