Peacefully at Queenston Place on June 21, 2009, at the age of 88. Predeceased by his wife, Anne. Proud father of Sylvia Kaptein and her husband Will Gibbons and Michael Kaptein and his wife Joanne. Adoring grandfather of Laura, Heather and Katie. He will be sadly missed by friends Mary and Kay.
Tim was former Auditor General of P.E.I. and a resistance fighter in the Netherlands during the Second World War.
Family will receive friends at Morse & Son Funeral Home, 5917 Main Street, Niagara Falls, from 12 to 1 p.m. on Wednesday, June 24. A memorial service will follow at 1 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.
A memorial service in Charlottetown, P.E.I., will be held at a later date.
As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made to the Canadian Lung Association or to the Salvation Army.
