
Wayne David Lintaman
It is with great sadness that the family of Wayne David Lintaman, aged 71, Valley, N.S., announce his sudden passing on November 25, 2010, at the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow, N.S. Born in Dartmouth, N.S., on September 17, 1939, he was the son of William and Mae (Scudder) Lintaman.
Wayne is survived by his loving and devoted wife Elaine, son David (Johana) of Perth, Ontario; granddaughters Erin and Rebecca, grandson Matthew, and great grandaughter Emma; brothers Darrell (Wilma), St. Catherines, Ontario, Roger (Myrna), Dartmouth, N.S., several cousins, nieces and nephews.
Wayne retired in 1995 from the Agricultural Research Station in Kentville, N.S, where he was employed as a Stationary Engineer. He was a member of the Kings County Amateur Radio Club, call letters VE1 WDL, and was an avid Ham Radio Operator for many years. He enjoyed sport fishing, boating, and spending time training his German Shepherd Dogs.
Cremation has taken place. Funeral service is to take place at the Mattatall-Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street, Truro on Wednesday December 1, 2010 at 2 p.m., reception to follow. A visitation will be held on Tuesday evening, November 30 from 7 to 9 p.m, at the funeral home. Interment at the Crossroads Cemetery, Valley, N.S, will take place at a later date.
