McClellan, Richard "Rick" Donald - Rick's life ended peacefully but reluctantly, at home on Thursday, November 25, 2010, as always making the most out of each day. Born on February 5, 1952 in Ottawa, ON, he was the son of the late Donald and Helen (Froats) McClellan. He leaves behind a loving family; wife, Susan (MacPherson) McClellan; sons, Josh and Ethan; daughters, Martha and Annie (Ashleigh Barnwell) and granddaughter, Fiona Barnwell; sister, Heather (John Scheigetz) of Montreal, QC; brother, John McClellan (Diane) of Winnipeg, MN; sister-in-law, Jane (Chris Runnals) of Squamish, BC; brother-in-law, Rob MacPherson (Janet Duncan) of Toronto, ON; nieces, Thamason (Josh Fireman), Sarah, Shannon (Jeff Pinkowski), Wendy and Susie; several cousins, grand nieces; grand nephew and many wonderful friends. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by infant nephew, Jeffrey McClellan. Rick was a life long student, teacher, coach and fan. He will be remembered as a person that lived life well with good sense of humour and lots of laughs. The family wishes to extend special thanks to EMP, Bayshore and VON, Dr. Pniak, Dr's Raza and Broad, Dr. Lambropoulos, Jeff Deane and Brian Amos for their loyal and attentive friendship.
Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Monday, November 29, 2010 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Interment will take place in Fairview Cemetery, Morrisburg, ON at a later date. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada; UNB Alumni Association or the charity of the donor's choice.
