Raymond Robichaud
Raymond Robichaud, 95, of Cormier Village, parish of Haute-Aboujagane, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Saturday,November 27, 2010 at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Hospital following a brief illness. Born August 14, 1915, he was the son of the late Tilmon and Élise (Cormier) Robichaud. He was a veteran of W.W. 2 having served overseas, in Italy. He owned and operated a small store in his village until 1965. He worked at O'Brien & Landry Plumbing and Heating until retirement in 1977. He was residing at Résidence Beaux Souvenirs in Dieppe. Raymond is survived by four children: Andréa Daigle (Louis-Marcel) of Dieppe, Magella Boudreau (Robert) of Shediac, Claudette Maillet (Roger) of Shediac River, and Jean (Marilyn) of Amherst, NS; eight grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren; his brother and two sisters: Claudia LeBlanc and Ola both of Memramcook, Alice O'Connoly of NL; many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his wife, Dorilla (née Goguen);his brothers and sisters: Hermina, Hervé, Olivier, Camille, Benoit, Eloi, Cloris, Melas, and Joseph.
The family will receive condolences at Frenette's Funeral Home, 396 Main Street, Shediac (532-3297). Visiting hours on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., and Wednesday morning from 8:45 until departure. The funeral mass will be celebrated at Sacré-Coeur R.C. Church, Haute-Aboujagane, on Wednesday, December 1, 2010, at 10 a.m. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. In memory of Raymond, a contribution to the NB Lung Association
