Suddenly at the Western Hospital Alberton on Sunday Nov. 28, 2010 of Emily Elizabeth Hackett of North Cape P.E.I age 82 years. Beloved wife of the late Melvin E. Hackett. Born on Dec. 29, 1927 she was the daughter of the late Medric and Madeline (nee Gaudet) DesRoches. Lovingly remembered by her children. Kennth, Shirley (John) Doyle, Pauline (Wayne) Perry, Janice (Robert) McHugh, Norman (Arlene),Roy (Kelly).Cherished grandmother to Jason, Vicki, Ricky, Glenda, Sean, Scott, Mitchell, Joel, Kendal, Jake, Hannah, Sam, Matt. Great grandmother to Jesse, Alli, Kolby, Rhian, Lauren, Brynne, Brooke, Emma. Dear sister to Lydia Doucette. She was predeceased by her brother Lloyd. Resting at the Rooney Funeral Home Alberton. Visiting hours Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral on Tuesday morning Nov. 30 from St.Simon and St. Judes Church Tignish for funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. Interment in the parish cemetery. If so desired memorials to the Tignish Fire Dept. or to St. Simon and St. Judes Organ Restortation fund would be gratefully appreciated.
