Passed peacefully away at the Palliative Care Unit, Dr. Leonard A. Miller Centre on Sunday, June 21, 2009. Predeceased by parents: Robert Sears and Winnifred Sears (nee Butler); brother Kevin; sister Winnie and brothers-in-law: Bill, Bernard and Eddy. Left with fond and loving memories are his wife Jean; children: Kellie (Barry) of Barrie, ON; sons: Frankie (Terry-Lynn), Steven (Robyn); grandchildren: Matthew, Marissa, Kaden, Koby, Olivia and Lucas; step-father Cyril Butler; sister Joan of Gardner, Mass.; special sister Ida of Mt. Pearl and brother Bob (Julie) of Ontario; sister-in-law Beth (Goulds); mother and father-in-law: Violet and Graham Collins, as well as a number of special nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. A very special thank-you to dearest friends John and Jeanette Bragg as well as Linda Sullivan for her comforting phone calls. Special thanks to Dr. Noel Browne (Cornwall Clinic), Dr. J. Butler (Shea Heights Community Health Centre) and doctors and nurses from the Palliative Care Unit, Dr. Leonard A. Miller Centre. Resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Ave., on Wednesday from 2 to 9 p.m. and Thursday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Funeral Service will take place on Friday, June 26th, 2009 at 2 p.m. from St. John Bosco Church, Shea Heights.
