VARNER, Roy H. - 86, of Diligent River passed away Monday, November 29, 2010 at South Cumberland Community Care Centre, Parrsboro. Born in Glasgow Mountain, he was the son of the late George "Fred" and Leah (Bowden) Varner. He was a retired lumberman and carpenter. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, the former Janet Canning; daughter, Tammi Cormier (Wayne), Diligent River; sons, Neal (Nancy), Moncton; Blain (Jacki), Amherst; Kent (Cathy), Moncton; a sister, Mabel Green, Middleton; brother, Aubrey (Leoda), Yorke Settlement; 10 grandchildren, Chelsi, Bailee and Morgan Cormier; Jillian and Jeremy Varner; Adam and Melanie Varner; Courtney, Heather and Erik Varner; a great-grandson, Grayson; several nieces and nephews; special friend, Robert Dowe. He was predeceased by sisters, Bernice, Grace; brothers, Laurie, Edward, Stanley, Claude, Lloyd, Medley, Harry. Funeral 2 p.m. Thursday [December 2, 2010] at the Diligent River Baptist Church, Rev.
