It is with sadness that we wish to announce the sudden passing of Thelma Parsons of Fredericton on Sunday November 28, 2010 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital. Born July 21, 1927 in Shirley, NB, she was the daughter of the late Kenneth and Edna (Lawson) McLeod. She is survived by her two daughters, Patricia Hoben of Marysville and Geraldine Kelly (Brian) of Mazerolle Settlement; her grandchildren, Lorraine Holland (John), Shyanne Hoben, Shannon, Sean and Patrick Kelly; great grandchildren Ashley and Tyler Holland; a sister Jean (Deverne) Woodworth; sisters-in-law Eloise McLeod and Bertha Bennett and brother-in-law Elwood Parsons; several nieces and nephews and many friends at Kinsmen Court. She was predeceased by her husband Raymond; brother Howard McLeod and son-in-law Kenneth Hoben.
The funeral service will be held from Bishop's Funeral Home, 540 Woodstock Road, Fredericton on Friday, December 3 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Jon Lownds officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Thursday evening from 7 to 9 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society.
