Suddenly passed away at Lakeridge Hospital Oshawa (as a result of a tragic accident) on Tuesday, November 30th, 2010 in his 74th year.
He was the son of the late John and Luella (Estabrooks) Beal. Retired employee of General Motors and long time member of Royal Canadian Legion in Oshawa. Beloved husband and childhood sweetheart of Brenda Beal (nee Hicks).
Loving father of daughter Terri (Kevin) Tanner and sons Dale and Brian Beal. Adored grandfather to grandsons Blake (Jenna) Tanner and Shane Beal and granddaughters Cali Tanner and Nicole Beal. Loving brother to three sisters; Inga White of Amherst, Cynthia (Robert) Richards of Sackville, and Daphna Day of Amherst; and six brothers; Harry and John of Midgic, Abner of Sackville, Hyle, Lloyd and Raymond, all of Ontario; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by four brothers; Hollis, Leaman, Donald and Earl; and one sister Alberta Ibbitson.
In keeping with Harold's request, there will be no formal funeral service. Private family service only.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Harold's memory to the charity of your choice would be appreciated.
A memorial service for Harold will be held on Thursday, December 9th, 2010 between 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. @ Branch #43, Royal Canadian Legion, 471 Simcoe St. S. in Oshawa, ON. Family and friends are welcome to attend.
