The death occurred peacefully at the Summerset Manor, Summerside, on Monday, June 22, 2009, of Ruth Eleanor Boyles (nee Ramsay) of Summerside, aged 87 years. Ruth was born on Jan. 1, 1922, in Port Hill, P.E.I., to her late parents, Colin and Myrtle (nee Lidstone) Boyles. Beloved wife of the late Ambrose Boyles. Loving mother of Arnold Ramsay of Ont., Diane (Rudy) Palovick of Alta., Cecil of B.C., Debra Burgoyne of Summerside, Donald (Brenda) of West Devon, and David of Summerside. Also lovingly remembered by her 16 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren. Survived by her brother and sisters: Sally Wiltshire of Ont., Bertha Risteen of N.S., Norma Currie of N.B., and Cecil (Emily) Ramsay of Summerside, and her brother-in-law, Albert (Betty) Boyles of West Devon. Besides her husband and her parents, Ruth was predeceased by her son, Jimmy, her sister, Blanche Deighan, and her brothers-in-law, Leonard Deighan, Raymond Risteen, Marcel Roberts, Ernest Waite and Louis Currie. Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside, until Thursday, June 25, for funeral service in the funeral home chapel at 10 a.m. Interment to take place in West Devon Baptist Cemetery. Memorial donations in Ruth’s memory to the I.W.K. Children’s Hospital would be greatly appreciated.
