SMITH, Howard John- October 29, 1923 - December 2, 2010. Life-long Member of Goodwill Lodge #84, Society of United Fishermen. Passed peacefully away at his home, after a brief and courageous battle with cancer, surrounded with love and in the presence of his family, on Thursday, December 2, 2010, Howard Smith of Dildo, aged 87 years. Predeceased by parents Simeon and Lillian (nee Thorne); sister Mary (Sam) Parrott; brothers: Albert and Jimmy, as well as several nephews and nieces. Leaving to mourn with cherished memories and celebrate his life with thanksgiving are sister Myrtle (Raymond) Broderick; brothers: Adolphus (Annie), Winston (Daisy), Gerald (Rowena), Bob (Nellie). He is also lovingly remembered by a large number of nephews, nieces and their families, other relatives and friends. Resting at Warren's Funeral Home, Dildo with visitation on Thursday, December 2, 8:00 p.m. until time of funeral. The funeral service will be held from All Saints' Anglican Church, Dildo on Saturday, December 4 at 2:00 p.m. Interment to follow at All Saints' Cemetery.
